Well...so much for trying to blog everyday...

As I sit here and review my past posts, I realize I have not blogged for about two weeks now. I have no idea where the time went and why I did not update my page sooner but here is another bunch of posts, better late than never! I will start off by talking about my trip to Florence...

My roommate, Kelsey, has a friend who is studying abroad in Florence for the semester, so since this was virtually the only weekend that her friend, Cassie, was going to be in Florence it was the perfect opportunity to go! We left on a train on February 3rd and were in for quite the treat...as we were riding on the train going through the Italian countryside we were caught in the midst of a snow storm! It was only an indication of the chilly weather that was yet to come...boy was it cold there! We stayed in a hostel and visited some sites and met up with Cassie and her friends and it all made for a very fun weekend! Florence was a cute and quaint town that had a charming feel to it. I can see why so many people make the trek to Florence every year...it was simply beautiful!

The David! You weren't supposed to take pictures of the statue so this is an "inside the purse" shot. The statue was so regal and met all of my expectations that I had when I pictured seeing it. Stunning.
